Great post, as always! A fondue out of melted bloks, or gels, at your best convenience, would be a healthy alternative for those on a non-dairy diet. For safety and sanitary reasons, I do not recommend to try this at home. Your worst friend's appartment is fine. My tip for the real gourmet: add a pinch of white wine.
If you freeze the blocks and the gel first you can shred it...Also, you can make cliff mayo using the gel as an emulisfier, just add some olive oil, egg yolks, and blend up with some salt (yeah, add to the electrolytes) and pepper to tase. Mix with some Tuna and you sandwich in between some Clif bars and you have dinner with lots of Omega 3 and protein!
Use cliff shots as a substitute for Glide. Not only will you be chafe free on those long runs...you will also smell like your favorite gel. You could also freeze the blocks and use them as Ice Cubes in a cocktail...preferably a gin martini.
Ingredients: All you need is a Clif bar (any kind, older the better)
Get dressed for run. Put Clif bar in easily accessible pocket. Run until you find pizza delivery dude. Follow him to his stop. Try not to be noticed. As pizza dude is getting pizza from his car, chuck Clif bar at his temple. Grab pizza. Run home. Enjoy.
(This recipe works well for Chinese take-out as well. Rock can be substituted for Clif bar if necessary)
I personally prefer waxing to shaving--don't have to do it as often, less stubble, etc. Smear Clif Shot over area of body that is currently haired that you would like to become hairless. Allow to dry, then peel off quickly.
This guy built a life size lego house. I don't see why you couldn't do the same with shot blocks? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/09/20/article-1214729-068183FB000005DC-413_634x423.jpg

ReplyDeleteGlad you got around to making a video of this. I heard of people using cliff shots instead of jelly on a PBJ. IS SAM sponsored too now?
ReplyDeleteI can see that Clif pizza ticking to the baking tray if you tried to cook it, you would definitely need to add some Udo's oil to prevent that.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted an energy gel that doubles as liquid band-aid. and works to lube my bike chain.
